Did you know there are 3 very distinctive types of dental implants and not just single tooth "screw type" implants?

Well...you're not alone. Most dentists only receive limited training in this one type of implant and so the saying goes, "When all you have is a hammer...everything looks like a nail". Meaning, when a dentist only does one type of implant then all patients get treated with that system whether an alternative treatment is better or not. The type of implant that should be used must be based on the patients anatomy and needs and not a dentists training.

Dr. Boren worked with a renowned dentist, Dr. Dean Doyle, D.D.S. for nearly 1 1/2 years learning all aspects of implant dentistry. He then continues his education at the largest American implant society meeting, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), each year to learn the latest techniques, materials and trends in the ever changing world of implant dentistry. Even though it is the largest and most respected organizaion for dental implantology Dr. Boren rarely, if ever, meets another Utah dentist there. An unbelievable thing when there is so much to the art of implant dentistry.
